Public input welcome at Citrus/Hernando Waterways Restoration Council meeting

The public is invited to share ideas concerning potential water resources restoration projects when the Citrus/Hernando Waterways Restoration Council meets on Oct. 19.

The Citrus/Hernando Waterways Restoration Council will meet at 3 p.m. in Conference Rooms A & B, 1st Floor, at the Southwest Florida Water Management District Headquarters, 2379 Broad St. in Brooksville.

Hernando County offers weekend for women in November

The Hernando County Recreation Department is hosting a Women's Outdoor Weekend on Nov. 7 and 8.

The event will be held at the Lakewood Retreat, 25458 Brown Hill Road in Brooksville. Pre-registration only, and space is limited to 50 women only.

Workshops include:

  • Knot Tying: “Tie Like A Guy” by Beth Doyle
  • Low Ropes Initiative Course provided by Lakewood Retreat
