On Saturday, American Legion Post 155 was host to The American Legion, Department of Florida Commander Phil Hearlson and the other 18 posts in the 4th District of the Department of Florida.
VA seeks $125 billion for veterans in 2011

On Thursday, the U.S. Postal Service will issue "Distinguished Sailors stamps" to honor four sailors who served with bravery and distinction during the 20th century.
They are William S. Sims, Arleigh A. Burke , John McCloy and Doris Miller.

DAV Chapter 70 is conducting a fund raising drive to raise $25,000 for a new van to transport local veterans to their appointments at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville.
