American Legion Post 155 Family will hold its annual 9-11 Freedom walk at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11.

The walk will start in front of American Legion Post 155 on State Road 44 and head to Meadowcrest entrance and then back to Post 155.

Citrus County veterans showed up to welcome back Sgt. Matt Horne home from the ongoing fight on the Global War on Terrorism.

A well-deserved Heroes Welcome was observed for this brave young man who recently returned home from a long tour of duty in the "Iraqi Theater of Operations.”

America’s pantheon of war dead, the hallowed Arlington Cemetery on the edge of the capital, has mislaid more than 200 of its fallen heroes.

An investigation carried out by General Steven Whitcomb, Inspector-General of the US Army, revealed yesterday that the nation’s most sacred shrine was a shambles, where hundreds of graves are incorrectly marked.

Naval cadets honored during Legion awards ceremony at CRHS...

American Legion Post 155 on May 2 honored two of the Top Naval JROTC cadets with medals and certificates of appreciation during the Crystal River High School JROTC Awards ceremony.

Cadet Matthew Walker received the Military Excellence Bronze Medal, and Cadet Devan Brown received the Scholastic Excellence Bronze Medal.

Many functions (CCVC Veterans Forum on Oct 23; monthly coalition meetings; November events from Veterans’ Parade to Massing of the Colors; Woman Veterans’ luncheon and more) go on where the CCVC would like to involve female veterans, but doesn't know how to reach them.
