The Citrus County Commission on Tuesday voted to make Commissioner Winn Webb, District 5, its new commission chairman.
Webb takes the gavel from Commissioner Dennis Damato, of Crystal River.
Commissioner Joe Meek was elected 1st Vice Chairman, and Commissioner John J.J. Kenney was elected as 2nd Vice Chairman.
Each November the commission elects a new Chairman, 1st Vice-Chairman and 2nd Vice Chairman in a reorganization meeting. Webb has represented District 5 since 2008. Dennis Damato was the outgoing chairman.
Also on the agenda at the Nov 15 meeting was the appointment to the Canvassing Board for the Supervisor of Elections.
Commissioner John J.J. Kenney was elected to serve on the Canvassing Board for the upcoming elections in 2012, along with a county judge and the Supervisor of Elections.
