Third suspect arrested in Homosassa meth lab case
A third suspect was captured Friday night in connection with the case of a Homosassa meth lab.
The Drug Enforcement Agency and Citrus County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at about 8:30 a.m. on Friday and took two other people into custody.
2 charged in connection with Homosassa meth lab operation
Two people were arrested today, and a third is being sought, in connection with the operation of what is believed to be a meth lab at a Homosassa home.
DEA, CCSO investigate Homosassa meth lab
The Citrus County Sheriff's Office involved DEA agents this morning around 8:30 to serve a search warrant at 8538 W. Kimberly Court in Homosassa.
The warrant referenced a suspected meth lab on the premises.
The DEA is currently cleaning up the lab remnants. The cleanup is expected to be both time- and labor-intensive.
The CCSO investigation is in its earliest stages.

Two Inverness youths, ages 15 and 16, are facing felony charges after allegedly making and exploding a chemical bomb on Tuesday.
No one was injured in the incident, which occurred in an area of Citrus High School and the adjacent primary school.
Assessors seek public input in CCSO bid for reaccreditation
The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office is seeking national reaccreditation for communications through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
During March 20-23, the Sheriff’s Office will undergo an on-site assessment in keeping with its bid for national reaccreditation through CALEA’s Public Safety Communications Accreditation Program (PSCAP).
Census Job Fair is Thursday
The 2010 Census staff will hold a job fair near on Thursday Inverness at the United Methodist Church at 3896 S Pleasant Grove Road
(County Road 581), just south of town.
The job fair will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to residents who want to work temporarily for the 2010 Census.
