Beverly Hills woman charged with sexual battery

A 22-year-old Beverly Hills woman was arrested today and charged with lewd and lascivious battery on a 15-year-old boy.
Arrested was Rebecca Parsons, 3166 N. Buckhorn Drive, Beverly Hills.
According to the arrest report, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office received an allegation on Dec. 30 that Parsons had sex with the victim at her home, and that the victim was under 16 years of age.
County looking for black dog that bit child in Beverly Hills

A child was bitten on Jan. 1 on Tyler Street in Beverly Hills by a black dog, possibly a Chow.
If you have any information about this dog, please call Citrus County Animal Services immediately at (352) 726-7660. This child may have to undergo rabies treatment if the dog is not located.
Men in bad moods spend Christmas in jail

Two men in bad moods were arrested on Christmas Eve and placed in the Citrus County Jail.
Kevin Mark Shields of Floral City and Joshua D. Copning of Beverly Hills were arrested in separate incidents.
Shields, 38, of 6835 S. Dove Drive in Floral City, was arrested after reportedly being uncooperative with deputies who were responding to a call of a burglary.
Missing Virginia man found

A man who was visiting friends in Beverly Hills, and then reported missing, has been found.
No other details are available at this time.
On Dec. 16, 28-year-old Lacey Biggs, of West Virginia, left a friend’s house in Beverly Hills and had not been seen or heard from since. Biggs had packed his belongings and left the residence on foot heading south on County Road 491.
Visiting man now missing

On Tuesday, 28-year-old Lacey Biggs, of West Virginia, left a friend’s house in Beverly Hills and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Biggs, a white male, had been visiting friends at 37 S. Melbourne St. in Beverly Hills for the past week and a half.
Knock on door ruins Beverly Hills woman's day

A woman who reportedly was snorting crushed pills through a rolled-up $20 bill was interrupted on Friday by a knock on the door by Citrus County Sheriff's Office deputies.
Deputies weren't there for her, but were there to see if her boyfriend was in the home. When deputies asked Megan Kathleen Elliott, 23, of 3 Esskay St., Beverly Hills, if they could search the dwelling for him, she agreed.
Beverly Hills man arrested on child porn, drug charges

A 30-year old Beverly Hills man was arrested today and charged with possession of child porn, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested was Michael D. Parks, of 22 N. Davis St.
According to the arrest report, an undercover detective began an Internet investigation to see who was using the Web to traffic and/or distribute files which contain child porn.

Beloved Citrus County teen laid to rest today in Beverly Hills

A beloved 16-year-old Beverly Hills teen will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. today, after suffering a long battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Megan C. Brosnan, daughter of Kelle Marinelli, died Tuesday at home.
